Summer Turns To Fall
We were camping, hiking and doing a little evening casting for cutthroats when a “postcard” revealed itself. The photograph was taken on September 23rd looking towards the inlet to Hyalite Reservoir. We were camped in the Chisholm Campground. Fish were rising, the light was perfect and the temp was just a little chilly - synchilla chilly, we’d say.
If you live in and around Bozeman you know the fall is glorious. If you are visiting, lucky you. You picked one of the best times to be in Big Sky Country.
Hyalite reservoir is 20 miles from downtown Bozeman. Besides being one of our town’s main water supplies, Hyalite is a local favorite for camping, hiking, kayaking and fishing.
Enjoy outdoors in the Montana fall. The only drawback is that fall can be a little short. Let’s hope for a nice, long “indian summer”.
